š Child-Safety Lock Operation
Under Ministry of Health mandates, all reusable base devices feature integrated child-safety lock switches. If your device is unresponsive or the LED light flashes when drawing, verify lock status:
- 5-Click Sequential Lock: Press the primary button rapidly 5 times within 1.5 seconds. The LED indicator will flash to signal lock/unlock confirmation.
- 2-Click / Automatic Lock: Devices without buttons require sequential pod insertion or draw-activated tap sequences according to manufacturer parameters.
- Auto-Sleep Timeout: Base units automatically re-engage safety locks after 10 minutes of inactivity.
š§ Pod Priming & Coil Saturation
Preventing dry draws and premature heating element degradation requires proper saturation protocols during initial setup:
- Fill a new sealed pod container with compatible liquid.
- Wait 5 to 10 Minutes: Allow the liquid to fully saturate the organic cotton wicking material prior to connection with the base unit.
- Dry Draw Check: Take 2ā3 gentle draws on the pod before clicking it into the powered battery base.
ā” Pod Connectivity & Blinking Lights
If your device light flashes red or fails to register when the pod is inserted:
- Clean Contact Pins: Remove the pod and inspect the gold magnetic contacts inside the battery recess. Wipe away residual moisture or dust using a clean, dry cotton swab.
- Check Pod Seating: Ensure magnetic alignment pins are fully seated flush against the base housing.
- Inspect Airflow Sensor: Verify the small centre airflow sensor hole inside the battery chamber is free of blockage.
š Battery Care & Power Protocols
Safeguard internal lithium-ion power cells to ensure consistent voltage output and long-term operating efficiency:
- Use Standard 5V/1A Supplies: Charge hardware using standard USB-C cables connected to 5V/1A wall adaptors or computer ports. Avoid high-amperage fast chargers.
- Do Not Charge Overnight: Disconnect base units once LED indicators signal full charge status.
- Operating Temperature: Store and charge devices at room temperature (15°Cā25°C). Avoid leaving hardware in direct sunlight or vehicles.
